Rapper Bobby Shmurda Has Been Denied Bail For The Sixth Time.
The hip-hop star, real name Ackquille Pollard, has been behind bars at a New York correctional facility since December, 2014, following his arrest during a police sting operation in Manhattan.
He was charged with conspiracy counts, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and more, and his bail was set at $2 million (£1.25 million). A trial date for Pollard and 14 members of his entourage had been set for October (15), but it has since been moved to February (16).
The 21 year old's legal team and family hoped to have the rapper released on bail and put together an extensive legal proposal to have him out in time for Christmas, but their efforts fell short, and the bail request was turned down on Thursday (03Dec15), according to TMZ.com.
He is due back in court next month (Jan16).
In June (15), the rapper rejected a plea deal to serve eight years in prison. If convicted he now faces up to 25 years behind bars.
