R+B star CLARENCE 'TEX' WALKER has died. He was 61. The singer died four days after suffering a heart attack at his home in Oxfordshire, England, on 8 August. Walker played a major role in the American music scene in the 60s, 70s and 80s and was best known as the lead singer with Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters and The Coasters.
