Blues singer MARVA WRIGHT is recovering in a Louisiana hospital after suffering a stroke - her second in three weeks.
Wright stepped off stage at the CoCo Club on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Saturday (06Jun09) when she felt unwell and began slurring her speech.
The star suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure - and just three weeks ago she survived a less severe stroke.
Wright has cancelled her forthcoming 19 June (09) show in New Orleans because she has limited movement on the right side of her body and more cancellations may follow.
