A 27-year-old rock fan suspected of streaming songs from GUNS N' ROSES' much-anticipated new album CHINESE DEMOCRACY on his website has been arrested by FBI agents.
Kevin Cogill is under suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. The authorities claim he posted nine unreleased Guns N' Roses songs on Antiquiet.com in June (08).
The songs spread quickly across the Internet before Cogill removed them from his site.
According to an arrest affidavit, obtained by Billboard.com, Cogill has admitted to posting the songs on his site. He was arrested in a raid on his home on Wednesday (27Aug08).
