Despite the perception that Netflix and online downloads will eventually result in the closure of traditional video stores, Blockbuster stores are still the place where most people go to rent or buy movies or vide games. "What you need to understand is we really have a market that we address that's nearly $36 billion in size. Video-on-demand is actually pretty small," Blockbuster CFO Tom Casey told a conference in Dallas Tuesday. As reported by today's (Wednesday) Los Angeles Times , Blockbuster is planning to refurbish its stores, remodeling some of them to include gaming stations and cafés. Although the company has reported a string of quarly losses in recent years, the Times said that it expects to report a profit for this year.
