Rockers Black Veil Brides have pulled out of the start of America's Vans Warped Tour to allow frontman Andy Biersack more time to recover from injuries sustained after he fell from a balcony in Hollywood.
The singer lost his grip and fell while he was clambering across a balcony at the Hollywood & Highland shopping mall during a promotional appearance. He fractured three ribs.
A handful of shows were cancelled and now Biersack has revealed he'll be unable to take the stage for the first week of the upcoming Vans Warped Tour, which begins in Dallas, Texas on Friday (24Jun11).
Recuperating at a Los Angeles hotel, the rocker tells Billboard.com, "It was just me being dumb onstage and trying to put on as good of a show as possible... I sort of misjudged the mark and paid for it dearly.
"I'm going to have to miss the first week of the Warped tour at the very least, and that's frustrating, but I'm also not going to push myself to get onstage before I'm ready.
"It's a crappy time for (the injury} to happen."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
