Moviemaker KATHYRN BIGELOW has been given another major Oscars boost - she'll be celebrated at the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California in February (10).
The filmmaker's The Hurt Locker has emerged as an early Oscars Best Film favourite and she's among the frontrunners to land a Best Director honour.
But before the Academy Awards are handed out, Bigelow will be honoured in Santa Barbara.
She'll be lauded as the Outstanding Director of the Year and the festival will also feature a retrospective of her films.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
