Big band performer Fran Warren has died, aged 87.
The singer/actress passed away at her home in Brookfield, Connecticut, on her birthday on 4 March (13), her spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday (19Mar13). Her death has been put down to natural causes.
Warren enjoyed a five-decade career singing with bands in nightclubs, recording solo music and appearing in films including the 1952 comedy Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd.
She is best remembered for her 1947 recording of A Sunday Kind of Love, which became a classic of the big band era.
Warren is survived by her two daughters and two nieces.
He'll also be on board as a producer for the book to screen adaptation.
