British singer Beryl Davis has died at the age of 87.
The big band star passed away in Los Angeles on Friday (28Oct11) after suffering complications from Alzheimer's disease.
The daughter of English band leader Harry Davis, Davis made her performance debut as a three year old, and went on to sing with Glenn Miller's Army Air Force Band towards the end of World War II.
Davis found fame in the U.S. singing on Bob Hope's radio show and also performed with Frank Sinatra and Benny Goodman during her career.
Her funeral will take place on Friday (04Nov11) at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in California, according to the Los Angeles Times.
