British Ballet Dancer Bryony Brind Has Died, Aged 55.
She reportedly suffered a heart attack earlier this month (Dec15), and her death was confirmed by representatives of The Royal Ballet.
Brind joined The Royal Ballet in 1978 and was promoted to principal dancer in 1984. During her time with the company, she performed in productions including Swan Lake, Midsummer, Rhapsody and Dances of Albion.
She retired in 1991 to work as a freelance dancer and actress.
Company director Kevin O'Hare says, "We are deeply saddened by the news... She emerged as a distinctive presence on stage where her long-limbed and delicate form combined with a lyrical and fragile beauty that made her dancing unique. She will be fondly remembered."
