For a change, an established ratings powerhouse is finishing the season with stronger ratings than it did the previous season. The two-hour season finale of The Bachelor Monday night drew 9.99 million viewers, and the one-hour post-finale special, The Bachelor: After the Final Rose attracted 11.01 million viewers. Both were up from last year's season endings. Zap2It.com said the two shows pulled ABC's best Monday ratings among the key 18-49 age group since September 2011. Helping to lift Fox into second place for the night, its new The Following continued to show strength despite the strong competition from The Bachelor. Although it followed a rerun of Bones, the show managed to attract 8.04 million viewers at 9:00 p.m. and 7.94 million at 9:30 p.m.
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
