GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose has assured fans they will hear the long delayed album CHINESE DEMOCRACY soon, and has tentatively announced a 6 March (07) release.
Rose's comments come after the editors of leading fansite gnronline shut the site down after tiring of speculation about the record, which has taken nine years to make.
However, the album release date is far from definite.
The SWEET CHILD OF MINE star says, "That being said, this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of 6 March.
"This is the first time we have done this publicly for this album. Any and all other dates have been made up by others for their own reasons. We would like to assure the fans that though tentative, everything in our power will be done to meet this date.
"To say the making of this album has been an unbearably long and incomprehensible journey would be an understatement"
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
