Scottish artist Alan Davie has died at the age of 93.
The painter, whose work is currently on show at London's Tate Gallery, died at his home on Saturday (05Apr14).
Davie was born in Grangemouth, Scotland in 1920, and worked as a jazz musician, jewellery maker and lecturer before dedicating his life to art.
He initially trained as a painter at Edinburgh College of Art in the late 1930s.
