Singer ART GARFUNKEL scrapped two concerts in Sweden over the weekend (28-30Sep12) for unknown reasons.
The 70-year-old Grammy winner failed to show up to his Night of the Proms gig in Goteborg on Friday (28Sep12), and he also blew off a performance in Malmo the following night (29Sep12), reports the Associated Press.
According to event organiser Niels Estrup, he attempted to track down Garfunkel at his hotel, but to no avail, and he soon learned that the Mrs. Robinson hitmaker had flown back home to the United States.
It is not yet known what caused the star to abandon his scheduled appearances, but he has spent the past two years battling back from vocal problems after he was diagnosed with vocal cord paralysis in 2010, and urged to rest his voice.
