Rapper 50 Cent is requesting a new hearing into a legal battle with a headphone company.

The In Da Club hitmaker sued bosses at Sleek Audio Llc, accusing them of failing to pay him $285,000 (£190,000) for a partnership to produce a line of headphones.

The venture never materialised, and the star went on to become the face of Sms headphones, a separate project.

The case went to arbitration, and a judge sided with bosses at Sleek, meaning the hip-hop hitmaker was ordered to pay an undisclosed sum.

Now 50 Cent has accused the arbitration judge of discrimination, alleging he was not allowed to cross-examine witnesses or look at evidence in the case.

He now wants the case to be heard again in a federal court.
