Rapper 2 Chainz has been sentenced to probation after reaching a plea deal in his felony drug case.

The I'm Different hitmaker, real name Tauheed Epps, pleaded guilty to misdemeanour drug possession charges last month (Apr14) in relation to a June, 2013 arrest at Los Angeles International Airport, where customs officials reportedly discovered marijuana and cough medication codeine, which requires a prescription, in his luggage.

On Monday (05May14), he was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to participate in a drug treatment programme. If he completes the programme within 18 months, his case will be dismissed in its entirety, according to Tmz.com.

During the hearing, Epps also received a sobriety bracelet from Judge Keith Schwartz to help remind him to stay sober.
