Video footage which appears to show rapper 2 Chainz running away from an armed robber in San Francisco, California has emerged online.
The star and his entourage were allegedly confronted by three armed men on Sunday (09Jun13) and a spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department claimed one of the Spend It hitmaker's associates had been robbed.
Initial reports suggested the star, real name Tauheed Epps, had been the victim in the incident, and rumours on Twitter.com hinted he had also been injured, but 2 Chainz dismissed the story on Twitter.com, writing, "Haha yal (sic) believe anything" later adding, "Rule #1 if a rapper gets robbed people usually post (photos of) items that has (sic) been taken. Rings, chains, watch, money etc. Rule #2 if a rapper gets shot he usually go to hospital or dies."
Editors at Tmz.com have now obtained security camera footage purportedly taken at the scene, which seemingly shows the rapper and his crew fleeing in fear when at least two armed men confront them on the street.
A man believed to be 2 Chainz then appears to trip over and drop to the floor while one of the alleged suspects towers over him.
Police are yet to make any arrests in connection to the case.
