Glastonbury Festival organisers have revealed this year's (08) surprise performer - veteran crooner Neil Diamond will play on the British event's main stage. The 67-year-old Sweet Caroline singer will perform at Pilton Farm in Somerset on the final day of the three-day event, which starts on 27 June (08). Festival organiser Michael Eavis, 72, says, "Neil Diamond is for people closer to my age." Last year (07), 71-year-old Goldfinger singer Dame Shirley Bassey was a shock addition to the Glastonbury bill.
