NBC prevented videos in which Chelsea Clinton urged voters to support a Washington State referendum legalizing gay marriage, according to the website BuzzFeed.com. Clinton is currently an NBC News special correspondent and as such is forbidden to participate in political activity. (She was absent from President Obama's reelection campaign.) A source told BuzzFeed that in the video, Clinton said that success in the states voting on gay marriage would influence the rest of the country. (In the end Washington voters approved the referendum.) It was unclear how NBC may have forced the campaigns to drop the Clinton videos.
