Production on the new U.S. Tv adaptation of hit comic books Constantine has been abruptly halted over questions about the show's future.

Network bosses at NBC decided to cap the show at its initial order of 13 episodes, prompting speculation the series is heading for the axe after averaging a mediocre 4.5 million viewers per week.

However, Nbc executives claim Constantine has not been cancelled and could still be renewed for next year (15).

The Tv series, which only premiered last month (Oct14), stars Matt Ryan as anti-hero John Constantine, the same role played by Keanu Reeves in the 2005 movie.
