The newly appointed co-chairman of NBC Entertainment has suggested that if audiences continue to migrate away from the broadcast television networks and ad revenue continues to decline, the networks will be compelled to cut costs drastically. In an interview appearing on Fortune magazine's website, Marc Graboff commented, "Something has got to give. For years, everyone programmed Saturday night [the lowest-rated night of the week] with originals. Now nobody programs Saturday. Maybe that will happen with Friday [the second-lowest-rated night of the week]."
