Singer Natalie Cole is to be honoured for her contribution to music with an award named after Ella Fitzgerald.
The Society of Singers (SOS) will present the star with the Ella Award at the Beverly Hilton in California on 1 June (10), in recognition of her Grammy-award winning album Still Unforgettable.
SOS President Jerry F. Sharell says, "To be honouring Natalie is a great, great privilege. She is absolutely magnificent."
Past recipients of the award include Frank Sinatra, Sir Elton John and Celine Dion.
