Australian pop star/actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte missed filming on an episode of The X Factor Australia on Monday (14Sep14) to attend her manager's funeral.
The former Rogue Traders frontwoman was left devastated when her long-time manager Mark Byrne died on 5 September (14) after suffering a heart attack, and she paid tribute to him on Twitter.com ahead of his memorial service.
She wrote, "You were my inspiration, my manager, my mentor and my friend. I feel lost, empty and heartbroken. Time to rest now #RIPMarkByrne (sic)... As a request from #markbyrne's mother no flowers please. She would love donations made to the Starlight Fundation (sic)."
Bassingthwaighte attended the funeral in Sydney on Monday, and sat out filming on an episode of her reality Tv show.
Other mourners included fellow The X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and singer/songwriter Timomatic, who acted as a pallbearer.
