Naomi Campbell is set to be honoured for her charity work.
The supermodel - who has raised more than $7 million for charitable causes - and her boyfriend, Russian businessman Vladislav Doronin, will be awarded at the Angel Ball in New York, an event organised by the Angel Foundation, which seeks to raise awareness of cancer research.
"She has her own charity. She raised a lot of money this summer for Haiti and for AIDS relief."
Earlier this year, Naomi hosted a Fashion For Relief charity show at the Forville Marker at the Cannes Film Festival in aid of Japan's earthquake victims.
For the finale of the event a number of models took to runway to show off a collection of T-shirts created by Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to raise funds for the Japanese Red Cross.
Naomi said: "The destruction caused by the earthquake in Japan is completely heartbreaking, it's so hard to even begin to comprehend the tragic loss the people of Japan are coping with.
