Naomi Campbell has mysteriously injured her leg, although she didn't let her crutches get in the way of her meeting with her friends at a New York restaurant this week.
Naomi Campbell has mysteriously injured her leg.
The supermodel was spotted in New York City on Wednesday night (19.12.12) hobbling around on crutches and in a leg brace but her injury didn't hamper her spirit as she enjoyed pre-Christmas drinks and food with friends at the Beatrice Inn.
The 42-year-old catwalk queen removed her brace when she sat down with Vogue editor Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele and photographer Steven Meisel.
Three of the world's top fashion designers, Donna Karan, Vera Wang and Calvin Klein, were dining at a nearby table and all three went over to say hello to Naomi.
A onlooker told the New York Post newspaper: ''It takes a special person, i.e. Naomi, to get those three to get up and walk to someone else's table.''
It is not clear how Naomi injured herself, and there was no mention of any accidents on her Twitter page, with the beauty tweeting wise sayings instead.
On Wednesday, she tweeted: ''What you choose is what you will have. What you allow is what will continue. Blessed day x N. (sic)''
Naomi - who famously feel off her platform shoes during a fashion show in the 90s - has had a busy few weeks and last month threw a lavish party to mark her boyfriend Vladislav Doronin's 50th birthday in Jaipur, India.
Naomi, 42, and Vladislav were joined by many famous guests including Kate Moss, Vivienne Westwood, Bob Geldof, Demi Moore and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, to enjoy a 1930s-themed dinner, with entertainment from Diana Ross, Chaka Khan and Bluesman Buddy Guy.
She also announced the launch of a specially-designed bag to help raise money for charity, Udayan Care, which helps women and children in India.
