The BIG BROVAZ singer, 22, was already upset when Christopher snubbed the awards in London to instead spend the night with pals in nearby Reading.
But her unhappiness turned to anger when she discovered Christopher had been charged with possessing an offensive weapon during a police raid on drug dens in the town as Stephenson partied at the glitzy bash.
A source close to Nadia tells British tabloid The Sun, "They had been nominated for four awards, which was amazing. The MOBOs are the biggest prize for black musicians and it was a great honour. But for whatever reason, Christopher didn't join Nadia.
"To say she wasn't happy at his arrest is an understatement. She was furious. The band pride themselves on being anti-drug and anti-violence."
Stephenson, 33 - who married Nadia six months ago - has been bailed and will appear at READING MAGISTRATES COURT next month (NOV03).01/10/2003 13:59
