We Love Homelands 2005 - Line Up - Ticket info
The summer is here. We’re rolling.

We Love Homelands 2005 is live!

Well it came round quickly, didn’t it?! Four months ago, We Love... and Mean Fiddler launched Homelands 2005. Since then, the team behind the UK’s most inclusive, forward-thinking festival have been busy securing the most impressive line up to date. Constantly adding, enhancing, surprising.

Now, with less than three weeks until Homelands sets the pace for the summer festival season, we can look to a complete showcase of the finest bands and DJs, singers and MCs, guitars and turntables.

Beck , with his first new album in three years, returns to the UK for an exclusive festival appearance at Homelands 2005. Mike Skinner, aka The Streets, leads an urban contingent into the countryside - alongside Roots Manuva, Audio Bullys and Kano - for some original UK business.

‘It was one of the first festivals we ever played at back in 2003 and the set was brilliant. Top crowd, top atmosphere. This year we’ve got loads of new tunes to test out and a fresh new show.’ Audio Bullys

The Human League and The Bravery further extend the boundaries of the dance festival, bringing the sounds of rock, pop and electro. And Mylo’s live act is sure to inspire summertime grins before the night’s out.

To name just a handful from a huge list of exemplary names confirmed for this year’s Homelands, Felix Da Housecat,2 Many DJs, Dimitri from Paris, Scratch Perverts, DJ Marky, Richie Hawtin and Black Strobe will prove that DJ culture is alive and well in 2005. Moving the crowds all night long in the mix of arenas, let’s not forget that it’s still the DJs who provide the heartbeat to this year’s Homelands festival.

“Last year was really, really good… the energy was quite incredible. So for this year… it will be more of the same... heavy distorted electronic funked up beats, abstract noises and synths that rock!!!” Black Strobe

Groove Armada will bring rays of sunshine to the new Outdoor Stage. Their fusion of high-octane house and the heaviest breaks, bass and beats along with the other DJs and performers will create a carnival in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.

“We've had an amazing live gig at Homelands. We've DJed in 3 different tents, and from the top of a bus! We've seen Homelands from all angles, and it always looks like a party organised by party people" Andy Cato, Groove Armada

And, of course, who could forget songwriter and poet Pete Doherty, with his new band Babyshambles. A moment of Homelands history is in the making!

So, ten arenas and 17 hours of creative, cross-genre programming that reflects the way dance music culture is changing. Homelands has its own unique message in 2005. It is where a new definition of dance music lives, breathes and parties.
