On Friday 5th September the UK public will be invited to celebrate the premier of “This is Not a Love Song” live on the internet.
Written by Simon Beaufoy of The Full Monty fame and directed by Bille Eltringham, this taut thriller will receive it’s world premier at www.thisisnotalovesong.com, making it the first feature film to ever be released exclusively on the internet whilst simultaneously being streamed, digitally projected and 35mm projected at cinemas across the UK.
“To be first in the world to make this happen for such a fantastic feature length thriller is exhilarating for everyone involved.” says Paul Trijbits, head of the New Cinema Fund, which is responsible for this groundbreaking event.
“It demonstrates that films will soon be able to reach audiences in a completely new way and that by embracing the possibilities of the digital world, we are offering a whole new form of entertainment to new audiences.”
Looking to break from traditional film making methods, every stage of This is not a Love Song was approached afresh. Cast before it was written (the film stars award-winner Kenny Glenaan and Michael Colgan), work shopped with the actors and filmed in only two weeks, this is truly a unique film.
You can pre-register for tickets for this exclusive, world first at www.thisisnotalovesong.com from today.
Spike and Heaton are the unlikeliest pair: two loners who have found each other. Taciturn, competent, unreadable, Heaton is someone we are instinctively afraid of. In contrast his side-kick Spike is manic, child-like, unstoppable: someone we are instinctively afraid for.
