|Feedback from Students|
|We asked various ex students for feedback on music related courses they have completed within the last 2 years. After being interested in music from a very young age after leaving school I had decided I wanted to pursue a career within the music industry. but at the time wasn't quite sure how to go about it. |
After hearing from a friend about the Leeds College of Music I enquired about the courses that were available and enrolled on a 2-year BTEC National Diploma course in Music Production. On the course I learnt about production and recording techniques within the studio the course also incorporated modules on the business and management side of the music industry, which gave me a wider knowledge of how the music business actually works. During my time at the college I received excellent training and tuition and after completing the BTEC I went onto to gain further knowledge and skills by studying at a higher level on a HND Higher National Diploma course in Music Production and Management this course involved many different modules such as excellent tuition in Music theory at various different grades, Piano skills, computer music systems and Arts management which involved organising and promoting events outside of college.
I have now graduated from the college and now have a work experience placement within a successful music company and now feel I am on my way to pursuing my career within the music industry. As an ex student I have benefited in a big way from doing the courses and would encourage anybody who has a passion for a career within the music industry to go and study as today music is recognized a lot more as a career and there is now plenty of opportunities with the wide range of music courses that are now available.
