Main Stage madness…

In true Get Loaded tradition, we've gone for the jugular this year - exploring more musical genres than ever across 4 spectacular stages. Last year's headliners included The Happy Mondays, Fatboy Slim, Paul Oakenfold and The Stereo MCs… whilst this year we welcome the last great Rock Star, Pete Doherty and his band Babyshambles as this summer's chosen sons. In a festival exclusive, Pete & co have been busy recording new material in the Get Loaded Studio and will perform a number of never-before-heard songs for the first time ever at Get Loaded in the Park.

Celebrating 30 years of Punk we welcome Buzzcocks as very special guests, with support from Ex-Blur member and solo hero Graham Coxon and punkettes The Slits. Meanwhile, the multi-talented (and multi-tanned) Cuban Brothers return as exclusive hosts for the day, as well as debuting their full 8 piece live band for the very first time at Get Loaded. The afternoon's entertainment will be brought to life by pioneering US hip-hop hippies, De La Soul, the World's No.1 Beat boxer Killa Kela and Myspace sensation Lily Allen - who by the time she reaches Clapham, will arguably be the UK's biggest new act this summer!! The hotly-tipped Young Knives also play live. Having previously reformed The Happy Mondays, The Farm and Flowered Up in recent years, this summer Get Loaded go one better as we bring you a "Killer" and uber-rare live performance from acid house hero Adamski – who's back in the groove after 15 years (look out for special guest vocalists!!) DJ sets come in the shape of the Hacienda Soundsystem feat Peter Hook (New Order), Graeme Park, Bez (Happy Mondays) and Madchester faves N-Joi who'll be performing a Live PA of their classic anthem, erm "Anthem". Drum N Bass geezer Goldie meanwhile drops an alternative 'Get Loaded Set', whilst the legendary Scratch Perverts do what they do best and mix n mash it right up! Everyone's favourite Unkle – James Lavelle also rocks it out together with breaks don Adam Freeland feat MC Juice Aleem.

Bugged Out Bonanza!!

Following the success of last year's dance tent (which was hosted by Fatboy Slim and his Southern Fried Records crew), this summer the DJ baton is passed onto Bugged Out! - one of the UK's most respected and forward-thinking club nights. Bugged Out! have pulled out all the stops to bring you a truly stunning DJ line-up featuring heavyweight spinners La La Land man, Greenvelvet, the electro prince Tiga, French visionary Vitalic and the king of Trash, Erol Alkan. Electro-rock gods Digitalism (dubbed the new 'Daft Punk') will be performing Live, with more DJ support from acid house dude Justin Robertson and Bugged Out regulars Serge Santiago and Jojo De Freq.

Bands of Tomorrow & their Guilty Pleasures…

X-FM's John Kennedy returns as official host of The Midday Ramble Vs Stylish Riots Arena, which features some of Get Loaded's favourite new bands of 2006, namely: British Sea Power, Guillemots, 65 Days of Static, The Boy Least Likely To, The Chalets, Lethal Bizzle, The Pipettes, Hot Club De Paris and Kid Harpoon, plus very special headline guest Badly Drawn Boy. The remaining tent is hosted by Sean Rowley's sensational Guilty Pleasures, with laughter galore courtesy of the world famous Comedy Store. Expect cult choons from Sean, Terry Hall (The Specials) and more, alongside live performances from the brilliant Barefoot, one-man bands Kid Carpet and Son of Dave and the totally bonkers Misty's Big Adventure. Legendary drug smuggler Howard Marks returns for a 2nd year, reading unheard extracts from his forthcoming new book with other festival oddities on the day including Breakdance Battles, Punk Fancy Dress, Laughing Gas, Cabaret, BBQ's & the lovely Laundrettas.

What Else?

Get Loaded will be celebrating 30 Years of Punk on the Common with a little help from the infamous Laundrettas. The action starts at the gate, where their Punk Rock Pampering services will see you transformed in 30 seconds flat to make you look and feel the part. In a gin-infused, polka-dotted whirlwind, the ladies will spread their magic to the masses… messing hair, sprinkling safety pins, tartaning, glittering and hair-spraying like crazy!! Elsewhere, make sure you check out performances by some of the world's best breakers - the B-Boy Allstarz featuring Cico (Italy) who'll be attempting to break the world record for '1990s' (continuous spins on one hand)… whilst the cheering Cuban Brothers egg them on by throwing £50 notes at them for every completed spin!!
