Fire It Up Gatecrasher, Sheffield Easter Weekend
It's a date that you simply have to make as Fire It Up rocks into Sheffield for a massive party with Crasher for one of the biggest dates of the Easter Weekend!
And to add some extra excitement to what's already got everyone talking, the party will be shown live at www.gategrasher.com/live and filmed for the official Gatecrasher DVD making this an event you cannot miss!
Uniting two of the world's most exciting club concepts with some of the best DJ talent around guarantees a night of incredible music in one of the most iconic club environments there is. This is going to be a night long remembered in Sheffield!
The headline guest is quite simply one of the biggest DJs on the planet. This simple statement, however, doesn't even begin to properly acknowledge Paul Oakenfold's stellar contribution to the world's musical landscape. His signature can be seen in everything from the early rise of hip-hop and the re-invention of British dance culture to the Balearic explosion and the birth of 'Madchester.' Oakenfold had five albums in the American Top 50 Electronic Chart including Perfecto Presents Another World which became America's biggest-ever DJ mix album. He simply is one of the biggest DJs ever involved in dance music and is going to amaze everyone at Crasher for an incredibly rare set.
Next up is Fire It Up! front man Eddie Halliwell! Part phenomenon, part superstar, part pop star and all talent, Eddie has evolved into not only one of the most technically sharp and gifted people on the scene but someone enjoys his music as much as the people he plays too. Previously heralded as Mixmag's DJ of the Year for the second time running in 2005 and at an amazing no. 17 in DJ Mag's Top 100 poll, he is quite simply one of the most sought after, inspired and musically driven players on the scene and arguably the most passionate when behind the decks.
Following Eddie is the legendary John 00 Flemming. He's one of the dance music industries most revered personalities and amongst a small band of people who can say they were responsible for igniting the spark of the scene we all know and love today. He is a top-drawer producer and a great trance DJ - the main room is going to rock!
Then over to Fred Baker, and a brilliant DJ who has an instinctive feel for what is fun and what the dance floor will respond to! It's that love for the music and for trance music in particular makes his productions work and keeps the faithful flocking to see him play every time. Possessing a firm knowledge of the past and a desire to make an impact on the future, it's as exciting for Fred. Right now, it's all about the future for this man and his music, and it's just the beginning!
Finally Belfast-born Greg Downey who has already proven himself on the decks and in the studio and now his reputation continues to rise as 2007 is set to be a massive year for him. All of Greg's tunes get regular huge support from Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Eddie Halliwell, Above and Beyond, John Askew, Guy Ornadel and many others too. His music gets rave responses from across the globe and for someone so young his ear for what rocks it is already right up there with the best of them!
