The Shining 18

Find yourself snowbound in the middle of August as Jack Nicholson is haunted by a whole hotel in this eerie, atmospheric horror classic from director Stanley Kubrick.

Starship Troopers 15 / Aliens 18

Two of the most lethal breeds of human-hating, steel-jawed, ugly-as-sin, outer-space creatures converge on Film4 Summer Screen. Director Paul Verhoeven's over the top bug-blitz forms the first wave, followed by James Cameron's unstoppable action sequel. It's not a double bill, it's an ambush!

19 August

The Big Lebowski 18

We're giving you a licence to be lazy: Jeff Bridges stars as The Dude in the Coen Brothers' classic comedy. Bowling, kidnapping and a wronged rug may be part of the plot, but don't let any of that spoil the laidback vibe.
