Following the enormous demand for weekend tickets, which led to the issuing of a ticket warning in Kerrang! 1050 (2 April 2005), Download festival organisers are to officially release festival day tickets for each of the three days . Priced at £45 for the Friday, £50 for the Saturday and £50 for the Sunday , day tickets will be available for purchase from 9am on Wednesday April 13 through the official Download festival website www.downloadfestival.co.uk or through www.getlive.co.uk , www.aloud.com , Ticketmaster and the usual tickets outlet, subject to booking fee.
One lucky unsigned band will be making the journey to the legendary Donington, in their beaten up old splitter van, to play alongside their rock heroes courtesy of the Snickers Unsigned Band competition. Thousands of rock bands have entered the competition and it’s now going down to the wire. Three bands will battle it out at a live play off at the Barfly in London on the 21 st April, where the eventual victor will be announced, (as selected by a panel of industry judges).
