More Bands Added As Main Stage And Snickers Stage Near Completion

Day Tickets Go On Sale Due To Huge Demand For Weekend Tickets

Even more bands have been added to the already mammoth Download 2005 bill. Already hosting some of the world’s biggest bands including System Of A Down, Black Sabbath, Feeder, Velvet Revolver, Slipknot, Slayer, HIM, Billy Idol and many more, Download is pleased to announce the addition of US chart-topping emo-punks FINCH who return to the UK for the first time in a year to play Sunday’s Snickers stage. One-time Murderdoll WEDNESDAY 13 and indie-rock

stalwarts QUEEN ADREENA have been added to Friday’s main stage bill, whileBrit rockers ‘A’, oddball Japanese techno rockers MAD CAPSULE MARKET and flamboyant US indie-rockers THE MOONEY SUZUKI are all confirmed for Saturday’s main stage billing.

Chris has collected more championship wrestling titles than it is viable to list here but you can be sure to hear Chris's famed R2J chant at any Fozzy show. The unique sound of the Finnish heavy metal orchestra APOCALYPTICA will be making their first full appearance at a UK festival, following a cameo performance at the first Download in 2003. Also confirmed Florida six-piece UNDEROATH. The Christian-metalcore band are bringing their blend of emo-hardcoreto Download for their first UK festival appearance. All of these bands will be performing over the course of the weekend on the following days and stages:

Following the enormous demand for weekend tickets, which led to the issuing of a ticket warning in Kerrang! 1050 (2 April 2005), Download festival organisers are to officially release festival day tickets for each of the three days . Priced at £45 for the Friday, £50 for the Saturday and £50 for the Sunday , day tickets will be available for purchase from 9am on Wednesday April 13 through the official Download festival website or through , , Ticketmaster and the usual tickets outlet, subject to booking fee.

One lucky unsigned band will be making the journey to the legendary Donington, in their beaten up old splitter van, to play alongside their rock heroes courtesy of the Snickers Unsigned Band competition. Thousands of rock bands have entered the competition and it’s now going down to the wire. Three bands will battle it out at a live play off at the Barfly in London on the 21 st April, where the eventual victor will be announced, (as selected by a panel of industry judges).
