Hip Hop Dance

Sadler's Wells' internationally acclaimed Hip Hop Dance Theatre Festival, Breakin' Convention, breaks out of London for its first ever UK tour following three blockbuster years of sold-out shows. The tour commences May 2007 courtesy of the Dance Consortium under the direction of the one and only Jonzi D, this unique showcase bringing you the finest international and national Hip Hop dance artists.

All UK dates feature the legendary Electric Boogaloos from Los Angeles whose definitive body popping moves have inspired dancers and their audiences for the past twenty-five years. Alongside the Boogaloos, Brazilian Frank Ejara delivers his signature and inventive take on Hip Hop while Franck II Louise from France perform `Drop It', a much-loved Hip Hop classic.

Hosted by Jonzi D, a Sadlers Wells associate artist and UK Hip Hop theatre pioneer, Breakin' Convention features local dance crews from each city plus local DJ's, graffiti, workshops and freestyling.

Breakin' Convention is the first festival of its kind in the UK that gathers the world's finest poppers, lockers and breakers together for a truly unique celebration. Don't miss out!

Breakin' Convention 07 Tour is funded through the Dance Consortium by Arts Council England.
