SUNDAY BEST PRESENTS BESTIVAL

9 - 10 - 11 SEPTEMBER 2005

ROBIN HILL COUNTRY PARK, NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT

www.bestival.net

A fabulous weekend was just had down on the Isle of Wight when Bestival successfully transported the Bolllywood Bar to the Nokia Isle of Wight Festival. The Cuban Brothers stopped by to headline the Friday night in the middle of a tour that’s taking them onto Fiji and Australia (it’s alright for some!). Bestival’s very own Rob da Bank hosted a great party in there on the Saturday while Radio 1’s Bobby Friction and Nihal got into the mood on the Sunday in full Bollywood style dresses!

And what’s more, we can now announce some more additions to the already superb line-up for this year’s Bestival in September.

VHS or Beta – new wave indie / dance crossover from Louisville, Kentucky

Gilles Peterson – Radio 1’s ‘Worldwide’ connoisseur in all things left of centre – playing jazz, funk, reggae, soul and early electro.

Erol Alkan – the original king of the bootleg, and founder of electro/indie club Trash.

Zoe Ball – Mrs Fatboy slim turning her hand to spinning those tunes once again.

Max Sedgley – one very ‘Happy’ man signed to Sunday Best

Bent – perfect listening for laidback sunlounging

Justin Robertson – the best dressed DJ in town.

Touche – the ‘Wiseguy’ DJ from the Wall of Sound camp

Annie Mac – the new first lady of Radio 1

The Glimmers – the mash-up masters of cool from Belgium

Eddy Temple Morris – Mr Remix from Xfm

Finger Lickin’ Soundsystem – the greatest breakbeat label in the land

Subgiant - local boys from Southampton with bass heavy live electronics

The Nextmen feat. Yungun - UK hip hops rising stars

Simian Mobile Disco - the English Daft Punk - but sillier

Clor - eccentric London rock duo destined to be huge this summer

Sweet Mayhem - girl/boy DJ team with lots of wigs and silly hats

Prince Partridge - Isle Of Wights answer to Fatboy SLim

Moulin-X Sound System - anything goes ... and its does with these boys!

AND THERE’S STILL MORE TO COME!!!….
