British rockers Muse paid tribute to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings by playing America's national anthem during their show in New York City on Monday (15Apr13).
The band took to the stage at Manhattan's famous Madison Square Garden venue just hours after two bombs ripped through crowds at the race in Boston, Massachusetts, killing three people and injuring more than 170.
Frontman Matt Bellamy acknowledged the atrocity during the band's show, dedicating their track Starlight to "the people of Boston" and playing The Star-Spangled Banner as a guitar solo.
He told the crowd, "This is for Boston. They really need us all tonight, so pray for them."
