Rockers Muse often fail to make money from their extensive touring as they refuse to hike ticket prices to foot the bill for their concerts.
The Plug In Baby hitmakers spend a fortune on their extravagant stage shows but they are determined not to recoup the cost from fans by insisting on high ticket prices.
Bassist Christopher Wolstenholme tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "We've always tried to keep prices as low as we can so people can come and watch us. What's reasonable for one person isn't reasonable to another, but there really is only so much money a band needs...
"It's important to make some money but we don't always break even because the most important thing is to go out and play live. We could earn more if we wanted to by cutting production costs, but it's not about that."
