With 'The Avengers' currently destroying all before it at the Box Office, it seems that the time is ripe for Marvel and Walt Disney to press on with unveiling plans of their continued partnership, and that means getting on with the third instalment of the 'Iron Man' series.
MTV reports that first of all, it's been confirmed that the Mandarin will be featuring in the film, and will be portrayed by none other than acting stalwart Sir Ben Kingsley. In latest developments, a image has been released of Iron Man himself, clad somewhat patriotically in a star-spangled design. Mtv reports though that the design actually comes from a relatively recent storyline from Marvel and isn't actually Iron Man at all - instead it is the Iron Patriot.
Apparently James Badge Dale will be appearing as the newish character in the film alongside Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and a further star studded line-up. The issue that fans of the comic are having is that in the original story the Iron Patriot turned out to be none other than the original Green Goblin, Norman Osborne. He is tied to 'Spider-Man' and therefore Sony and so can't appear in the film, which means that the story will have to alter.
