British rapper Fazer is adamant N-Dubz will reunite for a new album next year (13), despite a string of fallouts between the hip-hop group's members.
The trio took a break from recording as an ensemble last year (11) to focus on solo projects, with singer Tulisa Contostavlos also taking up a seat on the U.K. version of The X Factor.
It subsequently emerged that Contostavlos and her bandmate Fazer were in a relationship, but they split earlier this year (12).
The act's third member, Dappy, revealed he has cut ties with Contostavlos, who is also his cousin, saying, "We don't talk anymore. It's upsetting. I'd love to be able to hold her, cuddle her and give her a kiss again."
But despite the band's bust-ups, Fazer has announced N-Dubz will meet up to record a new album in 2013.
He tells MTV News, "We are on hiatus, we're all good. We are just taking some time out.
"In the last four or five years, I don't think there has been a period for more than a month when we haven't been on TV, had a video out, a single out, an album out, our own TV show - we've been dominating the TV and the media.
"The only thing for us is to keep our fanbase going and to keep people excited about the whole N-Dubz thing, so we thought take a break, give people a chance to breathe but at the same time, don't give them a chance to breathe.
"Tulisa has been killing it on The X Factor, Dappy has been killing it with his solo records and I'll be doing the same this year, so it gives everyone a chance to capitalise on their own fanbases as well as the N-Dubz one.
"Then we will come back collectively next year to record another N-Dubz album."
