The heavy rock icon was forced to scrap a Motorhead tour earlier this year (13) when he was diagnosed with a severe haematoma and underwent heart surgery to have a pacemaker fitted - but now he's making plans for a comeback in 2014.
The 67 year old insists he's not ready to retire from touring just yet and he believes he has a string of albums yet to record.
That includes new Motorhead material and work with his rockabilly band Head Cat, but he's currently most excited about a new solo project, which will feature collaborations with The Damned, Reverend Horton Heat, Dave Grohl and Joan Jett.
He says, "I still want to do a track with (Skunk Anansie singer) Skin before I put it out... Right now we're thinking of calling it False Teeth for the Deaf. It's just great rock 'n' roll... It's not Motorhead, but obviously there are elements in common."
