Morose crooner Morrissey has slammed UK radio stations for refusing to give his latest tracks enough air time. The former The Smiths singer headlined Britain's two-day V Festival in Chelmsford and Stafford at the weekend (19-20AUG06) and lambasted the country's main music stations for allegedly boycotting his tracks. Promoting new single IN THE FUTURE WHEN ALL'S WELL, released in the UK today (21AUG06), he urged festival-goers to download the track by texting a number displayed on giant screens from their mobile phones, instead of relying on publicity from the media. He said, "No radio station will play it so do this to get it in the charts at number 400. Sadly it's no joke."
