Morrissey has been forced to scrap another concert on his U.K. tour due to illness - just days after he ignored doctors' orders to celebrate his 50th birthday with a sold-out hometown show.
The rocker took to the stage in Manchester, England on Friday (22May09) in honour of the milestone birthday and thrilled fans by opening the gig with The Smiths classic This Charming Man.
Morrissey, who is suffering from a mystery ailment, went against the advice of medics to play the gig, having previously cancelled the first five shows of the U.S. leg of his tour in February (09) and another two U.K. dates earlier this month (May09).
But it seems the birthday bash took its toll on the singer - forcing him to cancel another performance, this time in Salisbury, England on Monday (25May09).
A statement from the tour organisers says, "Event organisers would like to apologise to fans for the disappointment and are working to reschedule this show, so advise ticket holders to hang on to their tickets."
