Outspoken British singer Morrissey has hit back at British television presenter RICHARD MADELEY, who labelled him a "puffed-up-prat" and "vain glorious strutting humbug". Madeley used his column in the British newspaper the Saturday Express to express his growing annoyance at the animal rights activist. The feud was sparked by dedicated vegan Morrissey's comments to an audience at a concert in Oxford, England, last month (JUN06) over the city's university's construction of an animal testing laboratory. The former The Smiths frontman warned the crowd, "Make no mistake, for anyone working in the labs, we are going to get you." In response to Madeley's remarks, Morrissey posted comments on a fan website slating the television star and his co-presenter wife JUDY FINNIGAN. He wrote on true-to-you.net, "Thank you to the British television person (I'm not exactly sure what he does) Richard Madeley who, at least, made me laugh recently by referring to me as an 'insufferable puffed-up prat'. "This comment may or may not be true, but I think it's a bit rich coming from a man who actually married his own mother."
