Actress Monica Potter is reliving her childhood memories after recently purchasing the house she grew up in.

The star's parents sold the family's old Ohio home in the 1980s and it has been abandoned for the past eight years, but the Parenthood regular snapped it up and discovered some beloved old items in the house.

She says, "When we went back in it was like a time capsule. I found my yo-yo. I found my dining room table because my parents gave it to (the previous owner).

The 43 year old also found some of the previous owner's items and his belongings are set to be archived at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

She continues, "He was a musician and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame called and said they want to archive some of his things and so they're going to come down and we're going to have a big party. It's going to be great."
