Model and actress Molly Sims gave up breastfeeding her newborn last year (12) after realising her baby boy was a born with a tooth.
The blonde beauty and her husband Scott Stuber welcomed little Brooks seven months ago and Sims immediately began nursing her child in hospital.
But after wincing each time her son latched onto her breast, the 39 year old discovered the root of the problem.
She tells U.S. Tv host Anderson Cooper, "Early on in the hospital, I'm sure every mother can attest to, they really want you to breastfeed. So I'm trying everything and I'm like, 'Gosh, this really, really hurts.'... And so I was feeling around in there (in his mouth) and I'm like, 'Is there anyway a baby can be born with a tooth in there?'
"They're (the nurses) like, 'Oh sweetie, I know you're a model, but sweetie, babies aren't born with teeth.' Come to find out my baby was born with a tooth!
"He was literally like a vampire on me for three months. It was unbelievable. I did nipple shields, nipple guards, (a) supplemental nursing system... It was horrible... I was so distraught... I convinced an oral surgeon to come over and look at the tooth because I really wanted to breastfeed. And they were like, 'We can't pull the tooth, he won't have a tooth for six years...' So I opted to stop breastfeeding."
