Dance star Moby is set to be honoured for his green credentials with a top prize at the Environmental Media Association Awards.
The vegan musician has been named the recipient of the EMA Missions in Music Award at the 2016 ceremony.
Debbie Levin, President of the EMA, says, "It's simply amazing what he's been able to accomplish. From starting his own nonprofit, to advocating on Capitol Hill for net neutrality, to opening his own 100 per cent organic vegan restaurant, Moby uses his talent to bring good to the world. We're proud to present him with the EMA Missions in Music Award."
Eagles icon Don Henley was presented with the Missions in Music Award last year (15).
Reality TV star and fashion designer Nicole Richie will host the awards in California on 22 October (16), and Levin insists the mother-of-two is the perfect person to present the organisation's 26th annual prizegiving.
"We can think of no better person to host the EMA Awards than our very own Nicole Richie," Levin explains. "As a longstanding member of our board, Nicole quite simply captures the spirit of the EMA Awards; she has a deep philanthropic history and commitment to the environment."
The non-profit Environmental Media Association was co-founded by TV writer and producer Norman Lear in 1989 to encourage green production and raise the public's awareness of environmental causes.
