Dance impresario Moby is to become the first pop star in space after paying $207,000 (GBP115,000) for a ticket on Richard Branson's premiere Virgin Galactic space flight.
The PORCELAIN hitmaker has booked his seat on the rocket, which in 2010 will fly a few passengers 113 kilometres (70 miles) into space to orbit Earth.
A close source confirms, "Moby's paid his fare and is definitely going to become an astronaut.
"Unless any others join him, he will officially become the world's first musician in space."
Last week (begs12DEC05) British pop star Robbie Williams revealed a burgeoning desire to become a space tourist, and Jane's Addiction frontman Dave Navarro has signed up for a later flight.
