Misty May-Treanor, the two-time Olympic gold medallist, is eyeing a return to Dancing With The Stars. The beach volleyball star - who signed up for the show in 2008 but was forced to pull out through injury - is asking her Facebook fans to vote for her inclusion on the forthcoming all-star edition of 'Dancing with the Stars'.
During rehearsals in 2008, May-Treanor ruptured her left Achilles during rehearsals, saying at the time, "I was doing the Lindy Hop.I thought I flew out of control and hit the judges' stairs, or it felt like I got hit in the back with a baseball bat. Then, I just couldn't put weight on it". She had made an impressive start to the show with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, receiving high marks in the foxtrot, mambo, and paso doble rounds. On her Facebook page, the Olympian listed her reasons for wanting to compete in the show once again, saying, "(1) I would love to finish what I wasn't able to when I was on the show the last time. (2) I wasn't voted off, (3) I would love for my husband to see me dance and compete, (4) I want to perform for my fans!" May-Treanor and her partner Kerri Walsh are tipped to win a medal at the London Olympics this summer.
After 11 months of dating, she married the Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Treanor in November 2004.
