During the event, Greg Chait, founder of cashmere label The Elder Statesman, won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which is made up of $300,000 and business mentoring.
Previous winners of the award include Proenza Schouler and Joseph Altuzarra.
Footwear designer Tabitha Simons and accessories creator Jennifer Meyer were both awarded runners up at the event at luxury venue Center548, taking home $100,000 each to develop their labels.
Other stars attending included award presenter Emma Stone - who wowed in a dark green and blue outfit teamed with Christian Louboutin shoes - Dakota Fanning and Christina Ricci.
