Miley Cyrus says she misses her former role on 'Hannah Montana'.
Miley Cyrus, the American singer and actress who is set to host Saturday Night Live this weekend, says she misses starring on Disney's hit series 'Hannah Montana', reports People Magazine.During an interview on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon', the 18-year-old said she was looking forward to appearing on Saturday Night Live, saying, "I love doing this and writing the skits and everything. I mean, I kinda wanna beg to let them let me stay for a little while". However, Cyrus said she looks back fondly on her 'Hannah Montana' years, saying, "I miss doing that stuff, too, you know". Despite the enormous success of the show, Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus recently told GQ Magazine, "'I'll tell you right now, the damn show destroyed my family". The children's program starred Cyrus as a girl who lived a double life as an average teenager by day and a famous pop singer by night. The series was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Children's Program' from 2007 through 2010.
Miley Cyrus will become one of the youngest ever stars to host Saturday Night Live when she takes over the show on 5th March 2011. It is rumoured that the 18-year-old plans on poking fun at herself in a skit titled 'The Miley Cyrus Show'.
